Family rooms in Edinburgh Bed and Breakfast are untypical because most B&Bs are single or double rooms in converted houses.
Our B+B is different. You will stay in a purpose-built accommodation wing, designed to meet your needs. We offer three large en suite rooms, all of which have up to 5 bed spaces. All three are en suite, far away from the road and very quiet and peaceful.
Each room at our Bed and Breakfast Edinburgh can be either a family room, twin, triple or double – they are too big to be just single rooms although occasionally, if we are quiet, we may offer a single person a family room for a reduced price.
The BIG advantage of staying with us is the sheer CAPACITY of our family rooms, the size and comfort that allows whole families to stay together without being split into different rooms.
Each room has a television and DVD Player – we have a selection of DVDs from which you can borrow free of charge. En suite facilities including a power shower. It has been said by many guests that our rooms are SUPERIOR to those found in ‘fancy hotels’. We tend to agree!
There is separate key access for your room area so you don’t have to come through the main house each time you come and go – it’s a bit like having your own flat. A path leads from the access door up to our free car park at the front.
Big rooms also work for large groups, for example tourists visiting Edinburgh in large numbers, visitors to The Royal Highland Show, Scottish Motorcycle Show,, Dog Show, not forgetting Rugby fans attending Internationals at nearby Murrayfield Rugby Stadium.
Craigievar boasts a landscaped back garden with a kidney shaped garden pond complete with waterfall. Guests are welcome in the garden, however small children should be watched carefully when they are near the pond.
We serve a full Scottish Breakfast including bacon, sausages, poached, fried or scrambled eggs, black pudding, haggis, scotch dumpling, tomato, potato scone, toast. Alternatively there are cereals and yoghurt. Coffee and tea are served when you enter the dining room in the morning.
If you want to see some more of Scotland, such as Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, The Scottish Highlands or even a working distillery, you can book a Greyline Coach Tour through Craigievar. It’ll cost you the same as if you booked directly, you won’t have to go into town to catch the coach in fact the coach will come to collect you from the bed and Breakfast after breakfast – beat that!
We hope you will choose to stay with us at our Cheap B&B Edinburgh and add your names to our growing Visitor Book.
